How do I choose which pricing plan is best for me?
If you currently send email, we suggest averaging the number of messages you sent for each of the past three months and choosing a plan that includes at least that amount. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
If you are developing a new app that doesn’t currently send email, we suggest starting with a free developer account and upgrading as your volume grows.
If you are interested in the enhanced services included with our Premium or Enterprise plans, please contact our team—we’d be happy to help you choose the option that’s the right fit for your needs.
What are the features and limitations of a free Developer account?
Developer accounts include unrestricted access to both the SparkPost API and web app.
However, free developer accounts are capped at a fixed 15,000 emails/month and cannot add dedicated IP addresses or Premium and Enterprise plans.
Developer accounts include 30 days email support to get you launched and emailing quickly, as well as live compliance support whenever needed.
What if I send or need to send more than the pricing plan I have signed up for allows?
Customers on any paid plan have the option of exceeding their plan’s monthly sending limit. In that case, an overage fee will be incurred for each email that exceeds the sending volume monthly limit. Pricing plan details, above, identify the overage fee.
Free developer accounts are capped at 15,000 emails/month and cannot incur overages.
If you know you are going to exceed your limit prior to sending and would prefer not to incur overages, it’s easy to upgrade your plan within the app to accommodate your higher sending needs.
What if I send fewer emails in a month than my current plan allows?
Unused messages do not roll over.
Is there a volume limit on how much I can overage on my plan?
Yes, there is a volume limit on the amount you can overage on each of the plans. The maximum overage volume amount varies by plan but the limit has been set up to allow your organization to have sending flexibility. The maximum monthly sending limit for each plan (inclusive of plan allowance and overage allowance) is displayed in the SparkPost dashboard as “Monthly Limit.” Free developer accounts and free legacy 100k plans that don’t have a credit card on file do not have the ability to overage.
How much does it cost to add additional IP addresses to my account?
Additional IP addresses can be added to any paid plan for $20.00 per IP address, per month.
What form of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
How will I be billed?
Plan fees are charged to your credit card on a recurring monthly basis. If you’ve chosen to downgrade your sending volume, that change will take affect on your next billing date.
Overage fees, if any, will be charged whenever such fees reach $100 or more, or on the monthly billing date, whichever comes first.

How do I cancel my account?
To cancel your account, go to sparkpost.com/submit-a-ticket and submit a ticket with your request.
Monthly fees are not prorated, and we do not offer refunds for accounts canceled before the monthly billing date.
