If you currently send email, we suggest averaging the number of messages you sent for each of the past three months and choosing a plan that includes at least that amount. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
If you are developing a new app that doesn’t currently send email, we suggest starting with a free account and upgrading as your volume grows.

Free test accounts are designed to help you try out SparkPost and include unrestricted access to both the SparkPost API and web app.
However, test accounts allow only limited sending volume.
Customers on any paid plan have the option of exceeding their plan’s monthly sending limit. In that case, an overage fee will be incurred for each email that exceeds the sending volume monthly limit. Pricing plan details, above, identify the overage fee.
Free test accounts are capped with a limited sending volume.
If you know you are going to exceed your limit prior to sending and would prefer not to incur overages, it’s easy to upgrade your plan within the app to accommodate your higher sending needs.
Unused messages do not roll over.
Yes, there is a volume limit on the amount you can overage on each of the plans. The maximum overage volume amount varies by plan but the limit has been set up to allow your organization to have sending flexibility. The maximum monthly sending limit for each plan (inclusive of plan allowance and overage allowance) is displayed in the SparkPost dashboard as “Monthly Limit.” Free accounts and free legacy 100k plans that don’t have a credit card on file do not have the ability to overage.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Plan fees are charged to your credit card on a recurring monthly basis. If you’ve chosen to downgrade your sending volume, that change will take effect on your next billing date.
Overage fees, if any, will be charged whenever such fees reach $100 or more, or on the monthly billing date, whichever comes first.
Invoices are emailed to the email address registered to your account. Invoices are sent from billing@sparkpost.com.
To cancel your account, go to sparkpost.com/submit-a-ticket and submit a ticket with your request.
Monthly fees are not prorated, and we do not offer refunds for accounts canceled before the monthly billing date.
