Michelle Byrd has a deeply rooted passion for executing progressive talent strategies for high-growth companies in technology, both in start-up and well-established organizational models. Her expertise is distributed throughout the full strategic and operational people strategy landscape and is focused on driving overall business imperatives to success by creating space and culture for team members to do their best work.
Michelle joined SparkPost from Zaloni, a global data management software and solutions company out of Research Triangle Park, NC where she built and bolstered the company’s talent and operational strategies for scale.
Previous to Zaloni, Michelle served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Talent for FinTech powerhouse, Cardlytics in Atlanta, GA. She joined as the first HR executive and ushered the company through a period of dynamic growth and rapid scale. She also served as Vice President of HR & Talent Services for cloud-based digital marketing platform, Silverpop, and was instrumental in helping position the company for acquisition by IBM in 2014.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC). She lives with her son Maddox in Raleigh, NC and is thrilled to guide and deliver on SparkPost’s Talent First strategy and culture.
