Introducing our new CEO, Rich Harris

George Schlossnagle
Jul. 3, 2018 by George Schlossnagle

I’m pleased to announce that Rich Harris has joined SparkPost as Chief Executive Officer. Rich comes to us from Oracle, where he led international operations of the Data Cloud business unit. Prior to Oracle, he was CEO of AddThis, another successful technology firm.

When I met Rich, it was immediately clear why he has earned a reputation for leadership and strategic vision. I am delighted to welcome him to the company, and I know he is eager to work with our customers and partners as we continue to shape the future of email together.

Phillip Merrick, who’s led our company for the past four years, is leaving to follow his passion and help an early-stage venture mature in the way SparkPost has under his leadership. Phillip has been a great partner to our team and customers alike. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Rich joins me and the entire SparkPost team to say we are committed to ensuring our customers’ success with email. Our day-to-day operations and the care we take with your business will not change during this transition.
