  1. What did Message Systems announce?

Message Systems, Inc., announced that it is adopting the name of our industry-leading cloud email delivery service, SparkPost, as the brand name for our cloud business. Going forward, we simply will be doing business as SparkPost rather than referencing Message Systems as the company who offers the SparkPost cloud email service. I think we all can agree that one name is simpler to remember for our cloud email customers and prospects than two.

  1. Why is Message Systems adopting the SparkPost name?

It’s simple: we’re excited about the growth and transition to cloud computing in the email market. The cloud represents a great opportunity for technological innovation, and we’re proud of the tremendous growth of SparkPost since its introduction this year. Conducting business as SparkPost will allow us to capture the excitement and enthusiasm of our thousands of new cloud email customers—all behind one brand name.

  1. Will this affect the Momentum or PowerMTA products?

No, our commitment to ongoing development and support for both the Momentum and PowerMTA on-premises email infrastructure products is unchanged. We are keeping the Message Systems and Port25 brand names for these well-known on-premises businesses.

  1. Will this affect current customers?

No. If you are a SparkPost customer, you already know us by that name, so you might not even notice a change! If you are a Momentum or PowerMTA customer, we will continue to give you our outstanding service and support under the names Message Systems and Port25 Solutions, just as before. Your current licenses, support agreements, and installation will not change.

  1. Will this affect your web site, blog, corporate address, etc.?

You probably have noticed that this blog already has made the change to sparkpost.com! Over time, we will move all other information related to our cloud products to the sparkpost.com site. We will continue to maintain messagesystems.com to serve our Momentum and PowerMTA customers.

Our postal addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information have not changed.

  1. Who can I contact for more information?

We’d be happy to chat! Existing SparkPost and Message Systems customers, please contact your current account or support representatives. Press, please contact Rachel Kaseroff, (415) 341-5625 or rachel.kaseroff@sparkpost.com.
