Engagement rings in those little blue boxes, new-born babies in their strollers and Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. Sometimes the biggest of things might look tiny, but they can really make an impact, can’t they?
Message Systems announced today the latest version of its email infrastructure software, Momentum 4.1. Now you might automatically dismiss this as “just a point release”, but there are really big things happening here. This updated version offers new capabilities to help users better manage emails through powerful APIs, improved security and globalized sending capabilities.
Momentum 4.1 now provides:
- Enhanced message generation through APIs to simplify the creation of multipart, multichannel and highly personalized, relevant messages
- More tightly integrated list management to speed up delivery of targeted messages
- New intuitive user interface for easier, centralized email template management
- New Webhooks and Metrics API options for accessing and manipulating data in real-time, leading to more actionable performance and customer analytics
In terms of improved security, Momentum 4.1 also includes enhanced support for the Transport Layer Security protocol (TLS). TLS has been a major initiative among the world’s largest ISPs and receiving domains. TLS encryption ensures compliance with industry standards and improved brand protection for Momentum customers by securing emails during transport.
And last, but certainly not least, Momentum 4 is the first commercial MTA to provide SMTPUTF8 support. This is the email address internationalization extension to the SMTP protocol that allows emails to be sent to new, non-western addressed recipients. SMTPUTF8 allows for Unicode characters encoded in UTF-8 and outside the ASCII repertoire to be used in mail header fields, giving senders far greater capabilities to reach recipients internationally.
So as you can see, this may “just” be a point release that Momentum is making available on October 6th. But under the hood lie many great things designed to help you better reach and engage with your customers through digital messaging.
